June 8: A Musical Celebration

It’s time to celebrate our achievements as we continue to work to improve conditions for all women. We have had a busy year with exceptional monthly speakers covering a diverse range of topics of particular interest to the business and professional women of today.

This month’s speaker is no different. Melanie Leonard, a conducter at the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, will share her inspiring story. Melanie was propelled to follow her passion for music, and was undeterred by the challenges before her.

We will share resolutions and nominations for the upcoming year. Members are encouraged to bring forth subjects that fall within the club’s mandate, aims and objectives.

The nominations committee will be appointed and members will be notified of nominations for officers to be elected to the board of directors. Nominations may be called from the floor as appropriate. Members will also have an opportunity to communicate their intent to serve on various committes.

April 13: Eva Klein

Eva is a Professor, Executive-in-Residence at the Haskayne School of Business, teaching Leadership and Interpersonal Behaviour, Organizational Change and Compensation. Her current research interests include identifying the characteristics of late bloomers, (i.e. those who succeed later in their careers). She is also interested in talent management, specifically with respect to the obstacles impeding professional women’s re-entry as well as the obstacles preventing the integration of professional immigrants.
