As Albertans ring in the new year and continue rebuilding after the floods, BPW Calgary wants to seize this opportunity to highlight the “Women Build” project led by the Habitat for Humanity.
On January 8, President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity, Southern Alberta, Leslie Tamagi will share how women of all ages and backgrounds are being encouraged to get involved in a non-traditional capacity — construction. This particular project has been designed to celebrate women in the industry, learn new trades, empower women to make changes, take action to help end the cycle of poverty, and provide families with a safe and decent place to live in our community.
