Each year BPW Calgary awards three to four $500 scholarships to women at Bow Valley College. Candidates are selected by the Bow Valley College faculty. In keeping with the BPW mandate of women helping women, selection is determined by academic achievement with preference given to mature students with children.
Our members fund the scholarship program through various endeavours, activities and events. In November, BPW Calgary donates a work of art to the annual Bow Valley College Premiers Lunch, the proceeds of which go to the scholarship fund.
Our gratitude and thanks is extended to Romana Kaspar-Kraft, of The Collectors Gallery, and a BPW Calgary past president, for her generous participation and contribution toward the success of this program through the art supplied for the Premier’s event.
