Annual General Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Members of BPW Calgary will be held virtually on September 3, 2025 at 6-7 pm for the following purposes:

(1) To receive and adopt the Financial Statements of the club;
(2) To receive the Treasurer’s Report and Budget;
(3 To appoint the auditors;
(4) To receive highlights of the Strategic Planning Meeting;
(5) To transact other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournments thereof.

RSVP by email at communications@bpwcalgary.com by Monday, September 1st in order to receive the AGM documents prior to the meeting.

Summer Events: National and International

BPW Canada’s AGM will be held virtually on August 23, 2025. Members can log in to the BPW Canada website to access the AGM documents. For login information on the national website (for BPW Calgary members), send an email to communications@bpwcalgary.com

BPW Day is held annually on August 26 to pay tribute to BPW International. Wear yellow and participate in the global social media campaign using hashtags such as #BPWDay and #BPWPride

Year End Summer Celebration

Join us on June 11 at 6 pm at Il Bivio Ristorante (inside DoubleTree by Hilton) for an evening full of inspiration, networking and a silent auction with 100% of the proceeds directed to our scholarship program!

For over 20 years, BPW Calgary has been making a profound difference in the lives of students at Bow Valley College. Each year, we invest in three to four scholarships to empower women with children who excel in their studies while leading their own households to gain access to post-secondary education. BPW Calgary’s investment brings to life our values and commitment to our Scholarship program. Join us in person and meet some of our scholarship recipients while bidding on silent auction items so that together we may break the cycle of generational poverty, close the education and workforce skills gap, and empower students and their families to succeed.

Tickets are required for reserved seating with our group. After June 6th, reserved seating space will not be guaranteed but the restaurant will seat you based on availability. You will still be able to access the silent auction space for bidding. All attendees are required to register through Eventbrite. You can choose to join us for drinks or appetizers, mains or desserts and pay the ristorante directly for your own selection.

Email President@bpwcalgary.com if you have silent auction items to donate. If you are unable to donate an item for the silent auction and/or not available to join us, please consider making a donation to BPW Calgary’s Scholarship Program on Eventbrite.

Virtual Business Meeting For Members

Our business meeting will be held on May 14 at 6 pm. An official call out for nominations was issued with details on vacant board positions. Deadline for nominations was April 25. The list of Nominations has been circulated by email to members.  We will be setting priorities for the next club year and installing our new board for the term 2025-2027. Call Out For Nominations!

FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2025 – JUNE 30, 2027

This is to serve the members of the Business & Professional Women’s Club of Calgary with notice that nominations for the following Executive Board positions are now open. These positions include:
First Vice President; Vice President, Communications; Vice President, Young BPWs; and, Secretary. Position descriptions outlining key roles and responsibilities can be obtained by sending an email request at Communications@bpwcalgary.com

The terms for these positions are for two (2) years (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027). Nominees must be members of BPW Calgary.

If you are interested in being nominated for any of these positions, or if you would like to nominate another BPW Calgary member (with their consent), kindly do so by April 25, 2025. Please include a brief bio and photo of your nominee to be included in the slate of nominations which will be distributed to the Club’s members by April 30, 2025.
