October 13: Peeling the Gender Onion

Our October speaker, Donna Kennedy-Glans, author of Unveiling the Breath: One woman’s journey into understanding Islam and gender equality, will discuss “Peeling the Gender Onion.”

It is an exploration of how, and why, it is important to peel away the layers of the gender onion to understand the individual challenges of women. Donna is the founder of Bridges, a volunteer humanitarian organization that trains and mentors community leaders in healthcare, law, journalism, education and politics.
