Join BPW members and guests for our Annual General Meeting. We will review the past year’s budget and take members’ votes on the updated BPW Calgary Bylaws. We will also share our strategic plan for the 2009-2010 year.
In addition to the AGM, this month’s guest speaker is Jill Wyatt, CEO of the YWCA of Calgary! Ms Wyatt will speak about how her experiences have helped to support the empowerment of women.

As a wrap-up to the Club year, join BPW Calgary members and guests to celebrate the many successes of the year.
Learn more about the BPW Calgary mission and how it has been fulfilled over the current Club year through its strategic plan. Participate in conversations about how the Club can continue to develop the professional and leadership potential of women in Calgary through education, awareness, advocacy and mentoring within a supportive network. These conversations will lay the foundation for the plans in the new Club year, July 2009 through June 2010. The business meeting is open to both members and guests.

What is leadership? What leadership competencies do effective women leaders bring to the world? How can we change the world one conversation at a time? Dr. Nancy Love, Founder & President of The Pulse Institute, will share her insights on this topic. Dr. Love is a well-known author and international speaker who has studied leadership extensively both at home and internationally.
Why are women leaders especially important for business and government today? This workshop will be of benefit to women who are currently serving in leadership roles, those who wish to move into leadership positions or those who want to be leaders in their own lives.
We will also feature Dawn Nason and Lisa Dare, BPW Calgary members. They will share their experience of attending the 53 Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York in March.
